The Pyramid Stage really was a pyramid until 1994. That year the structure, which doubled up as storage and shelter for the farm, burned down just before the festival. Now it's just a typical hired festival stage but the name lives on.
This is where the big boys get to play, with notable sets last year from The Prodigy and Radiohead. It's not, in my humble opinion, a place to hang around for long; just dash in to see the bands that interest you and then leave for more entertaining pastures.
Not really much else you can say about a big field with a stage at one end, so here's the bands known so far. Some of the names in the To be arranged section aren't definitely playing the Pyramid stage (marked *), but it seems the likeliest place for them.
